In electronics, wrapping is an alternative technique for producing a printed circuits, consisting of replacing solders with wires wound on the pins of the components, to produce complex circuits in small numbers.

It has the advantage of being easy to undo, especially when creating prototypes. This technique is widely used for the manufacture and connection of telephone switches, computers, control consoles, radios, radars, sonars and other complex equipment that need only be produced in small numbers . Wrapped assemblies are more reliable than tracked PCBs: connections are less likely to break in case of vibration or twisting of the plate; the absence of welding avoids corrosion problems.
